Elevate EE Idea – Market Development Initiative Diverse Business Support
Elevate will consider how to manage Personally Identifiable Information due to cyber security risks.
- We acknowledge that there is a cyber security risk from all contractors, not just diverse contractors, working within the utility energy efficiency programs. Contractors do work with Personally Identifiable Information of customers. We believe the utilities and their program implementers are working on this issue and should continue to work on program processes and/or providing training and support to contractors to reduce those risks. In addition, our energy efficiency idea does not impact this risk one way or another. We believe this question might warrant a separate conversation to fully discuss and address this topic.
SAG Process Background:
- The 2024 SAG Portfolio Planning Process includes an opportunity for interested participants to propose “Energy Efficiency Ideas” for utilities to consider as they develop their 2026-2029 EE Plans.
- EE Idea submittals were due on March 22, 2024.
