SUMMARY:Tuesday\, September 3 SAG Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the September 3 SAG meeting is to discuss draft EE potential study results for Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas. \nTuesday\, September 3 SAG Agenda \nSAG Facilitator Introduction to September 3 Meeting \nApplied Energy Group Presentation: Peoples Gas & North Shore Gas Market Potential Study \nFollow-up: \n\nSeptember 3\, 2024 Large Group SAG Attendees and Notes\nPeoples Gas & North Shore Gas Responses to Follow-up Items\n\nSummary of follow-up items: \n\nIn the example on the slide 6\, 62.7% is the response on 50-year payback. What is payback without any incentive? Did you ask what the uptick would be without any incentive?\nConfirm if the survey data relied on was coupled with site visits or survey data exclusively.\nWhat is the carbon adder based on? Is AEG presenting the same value for the grid emission rates that was present to SAG in June/July?\nResidential study results – look into why the blower door measure was not on the list as a top measure.\nFor the “connected thermostat” measure (both residential and commercial)\, are you assuming baseline of programmable or manual?\nStakeholder request: How did assumptions in the AEG study for Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas differ from the statewide study performed by GDS Associates for Ameren Illinois\, ComEd\, and Nicor Gas? If the assumptions or study results differ in a significant way\, it would be good to understand via a summary memo.

SUMMARY:Tuesday\, August 13 SAG Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of the August 13 SAG meeting is to discuss draft EE baseline and potential study results for Ameren Illinois\, ComEd\, and Nicor Gas. \nTuesday\, August 13 SAG Agenda \nSAG Facilitator Introduction to August 13 Meeting \nGDS Associates Presentation: Illinois 2023 Baseline and Potential Study – Key Observations and Draft Results \nFollow-up: August 13\, 2024 Large Group SAG Attendees and Notes \n  \nFollow-up Questions on Key Baseline Study Findings: \n\nKari Ross – Do you know if the buildings involved in these visits had previously opted-into EE C&I programs or not?\nKaren Lusson – Will you be presenting a slide on residential cooling potential?\nSeth Craigo-Snell – Do we have any information from the study about heat delivery through the homes (forced air vs water vs steam)?\n\nFollow-up Questions on Potential Study Results: \n\nSeth Craigo-Snell: I am really struggling to understand how the individual measures that are presented in slide 37 were chosen/identified. There are several of these measures on both the residential and nonresidential side that don’t make sense to me as key measures (e.g.\, on the residential side: refrigerators\, ground source heat pumps and on the non-res side: Advanced power strips). So\, I guess my questions are: What are the driving parameters in the modeling for the development of these measure listings? Are these scenarios (RAP and SMAP) budget limited?

Contractors do work with Personally Identifiable Information of customers. We believe the utilities and their program implementers are working on this issue and should continue to work on program processes and/or providing training and support to contractors to reduce those risks. In addition\, our energy efficiency idea does not impact this risk one way or another. We believe this question might warrant a separate conversation to fully discuss and address this topic.\n\nSAG Process Background: \n\nThe 2024 SAG Portfolio Planning Process includes an opportunity for interested participants to propose “Energy Efficiency Ideas” for utilities to consider as they develop their 2026-2029 EE Plans.\nEE Idea submittals were due on March 22\, 2024.\nVisit the 2024 Energy Efficiency Ideas page to review all idea submittals.
